Half a Mile Upstream - Barton

A afternoon "swifty" lead to a excellent meal last night in The Frog - Fish Pie to perfection and a tasty Liver Casserole for Trev

Huffler negotiating the only navigable arch of the bridge

Work in progress - the repairs could take 4 to 6 months

Half a mile up stream we approach Barton Lock

Tony closing the gates before we are able to empty the lock.

Bobbing about waiting for us to set the lock.

Barton Lock was donated by Elsie and Hiram Billington and was b built in six weeks by boys from Hewell Borstal, Redditch, and is unusual in having three walls in order to enclose the lock island.

Yep we are settled then.....

Washing out....

Tuppence checking out the lay of the land and I am about to settle down for a afternoon of tennis - fingers crossed for a Murray final!!!
