Evesham to Offenham Lock

Monday morning and its housekeeping time.

Cassette emptying, boat washing ,

filling with water(warning duly noted!!)

and a Tesco Home Delivery to Workman Gardens car park.

Evesham Lock is on the left after the bridge.

Gently does it with the paddles.

On exiting the lock we are now on the Upper Avon Navigation.

Yep it's raining

Beyond the trees the countryside is thick with regimented fruit trees and greenhouses in which Evesham's reputation as a centre for the cultivation of tomato plants is forged.

A moving boat catches us by surprise.

Offenham Lock

We moor just beyond the lock....

with the intention of eating at the Fish and Anchor Inn this evening. Only one problem - it is not accessible  by foot from the lock island.

Although not mentioned in the Pearson's Guide the Fish and Anchor has its own moorings which are on the east bank.

With a bit of creative mooring we are all settled in time to watch the tennis.
